Agbiag Bigueño!

People everywhere are anticipating a grandiloquent "fiesta" ,as natives of the place say. Lights, food, and happy citizens are roaming around Vigan to witness a once in a year celebration of the Longganisa Festival.

The love for culture and tradition keeps the spirit of the event alive. The city government of Vigan hosts several competitions in connection to it. One of which is the Longganisa Street dancing which was joined by several schools and colleges from around Vigan and some municipalities of the nearby provinces. Ilocos Sur National High School of course joined the said competition.

During the night, there were celebrations and social gatherings at Plaza Burgos. During the DepED Night, one of our competent teachers one as the most outstanding secondary school teacher of the city, Mr. Edgar L. Pescador. Students also joined the Quiz Vigan where ISNHS emerged as champion with only one mistake.

Last Jan. 25, 2011, we had the grand parade. The CAT I-Unit, band and faculty of ISNHS took a walk around Vigan city.

Keeping the fire burning for traditions is one of the greatest manifestations of our love for our colorful history and country. May we all appreciate and join these wonderful activities.
